As we approach winter solstice and the evenings draw in, we at Ourmala are so enjoying wearing big knitted jumpers, wooly hats and exploring London in search of cosy fires.
We also find ourselves planning trips to sunnier clims and sowing the seeds for exciting spring and summer trips…
High on our list is to visit in 2016 is Yoga Evolution Retreats. This heavenly retreat centre is nestled in a beautiful, tranquil spot in a six hectare traditional countryside estate in rural Portugal. High in the mountains, during the day there is sunshine-a-plenty and in evening, the starry canopy reminds you of what an incredible universe we live in.
Sue and Peter, who run Yoga Evolution Retreats, welcome you to practice Yoga, socialise, relax by the salt water infinity pool, chill out in the hammocks, explore the surrounding forest, eat their yummy food or simply recharge, take in the peace and mountain views and just be.
This year, Sue and Peter donated the proceeds from an entire week-long Yoga retreat to Ourmala through The Mala Initiative programme, which we’re using to set up a new class in 2016 for refugees and asylum-seekers recovering from torture (a story for another time…).
Their whole business celebrates the heart of Yoga and gives-back to those in-need.
We thank you so much for your support, Sue and Peter. We also look forward to visiting in the sunshine of 2016! Anyone fancy joining us?
Keep warm and cosy all!
