We are delighted to announce the launch of our shiny new website dedicated to The Mala Initiative!

www.themalainitiative.com

The Mala Initiative (TMI) is a community of inspired people with big hearts, committed to helping Ourmala’s mission.

Whether you’re a teacher or student, into yoga or meditation, an alternative therapist, studio or organisation, there are plenty of ways you can join in.

Our shiny new website includes a calendar to locate TMI events near you, a social media guide and downloadable posters which can be used to advertise your TMI events.

TMI’s all about committing to run and attend fundraising classes, retreats or other yoga, meditation and wellbeing-related events. All money raised will help refugee and asylum-seeking women find the strength, hope and support they need to rebuild their lives. Yoga is at the heart of our approach.

For more information about how you can take part, please click here.

If you’re on Facebook, you can also join The Mala Initiative group. Here you will find a supportive network and news of the latest events and resources.

A big THANK YOU goes out to all those who have supported TMI so far! We have absolutely loved hearing about your meditation courses, yoga retreats in exotic locations and kirtan evenings!

We are so delighted that TMI community is growing and growing. Thank you all for your continued energy and support.

With love,
All at Pig Pen HQ

The Mala Initiative – a special project run by Ourmala

“I have found yoga to be one of the best ways to start to slow down and gain greater awareness and compassion – towards ourselves and towards the plights of other people. As well as helping people to improve their health and resilience, yoga allows us to become more sensitive to life and to all of its joys and challenges. Ourmala helps women who have had to deal with huge life challenges, so I felt compelled to run the classes on behalf of such an important and compassionate organisation.”

– Anna Norman (Yoga at Fitzroy House) who recently ran a series of donation based yoga classes raising £310 to support Ourmala through The Mala Initiative!
