Crispy envelope arrives at Pig Pen

A few weeks ago, our friends at Yoga on the Lane held a Kirtan to raise funds for Hackney Yoga Project.  And on Friday, Yoga on the Lane’s owner, Naomi, hand-delivered a fat crispy envelope to Hackney Yoga Project’s office in the Pig Pen at Hackney City Farm containing some equally crispy contents (now headed straight for the bank…).

Thank you so much to everyone who took part in the Kirtan and everyone at Yoga on the Lane.

We LOVE meeting like-minded new friends in the Yoga hood, having guests at the Pig Pen, and hand-deliveries. And we hugely appreciate the donation.

Literally every penny of these crispy ones will be spent on reimbursing the cost of travel for the refugee and asylum-seeking women who practice Yoga with us.  Without this, most would be unable to attend.

Thanks again guys, and really looking forward to working with you again soon!

For those unfamiliar, a Kirtan is a call and response devotional singing session. It’s about using your voice, hands and heart to bring peace to yourself and the world.  And may it be so.
