Both are super opportunities to get involved with Hackney Yoga Project and gain, or further, experience working with refugee and asylum-seeking women and yoga.
Front of house role…
As a ‘front of house’ team member at Hackney Yoga Project, you’ll often be the first point of contact our refugee and asylum-seeking yoga students have with the project so it’s a really important role.
We have four opportunities, two in Hackney / two in South Kensington. Training provided. Cost of travel refunded.

The role… give a warm welcome to the yoga students, help set-up / pack away the studio, manage travel refunds and occasionally help students fill out forms / with ad hoc admin duties. September 3 – October 25.
You’ll need to be able to commit… half a day a week, from 3 September – 25 October, either
> In Hackney: Tuesdays, 9am -1.30pm, Hackney City Farm, E8 8QA
> In South Kensington: Fridays, 1.45 – 4.30, at evolve wellness centre in South Kensington, SW7 3HG
Essential… you are friendly, patient, compassionate, reliable, quick thinking, not easily fazed, practical, with sensitivity to issues refugees and those seeking asylum might be facing
Ideally… you have experience working with refugees/those seeking asylum/vulnerable individuals, and reception / office experience; you may be a refugee yourself, or seeking asylum…
