On Tuesday evening, June 21st, Ourmala will be holding a fundraiser called YOGA FOR REFUGEES. We want to raise enough money to support an additional 250 women and children in crisis. If you’re free on June 21st and would like to support this mission, we would love to see you there. You can get your ticket here, bring your friends and family and spread the word!
Rudimental‘s Amir Amor has written a new soundscape especially for the evening. It’ll be the sonic backdrop for internationally acclaimed yoga teacher Emma Henry‘s yoga class. This will be in the Jivamukti style and everyone is welcome.
One of the refugee women who comes to Ourmala’s sessions will be talking about her experiences and how yoga has helped her. As well as special guests, who shall remain secret for the moment (!), you’ll receive delicious vegan snacks and refreshments, thanks to our friends at itsu to you and Vita Coco. There’ll be goodie bags and in our raffle you’ll have the opportunity to win a FREE Reclaim Your Self retreat for two to Reykjavik, a lululemon athletica luxury fitting and full outfit and more! And yes, of course every ticket comes with a free raffle ticket…
YOGA FOR REFUGEES will be a really beautiful community gathering. In coming together, we’ll also be making a stand against violence, showing refugees that we care, and raising money to make a positive practical ongoing difference to the lives of 250 women and children in crisis.
Some of the refugees and asylum-seekers we serve will also be taking part, as well as our team, so if you’d like to meet us and find out more about our work in person, it will be a good opportunity. Thank you so much in advance for your support.
Greatest thanks to our team of brilliant volunteers and our generous sponsors and supporters, without whom this simply would not be possible:
GP Corporate Finance, the investment connection service matching entrepreneurs and businesses with high net worth individuals and funds.
Mansion House Consulting, the international business and technology consultancy focused exclusively on the financial services sector.
The Minded Institute, a leader in the development and implementation of yoga therapy and mindfulness programmes for mental health.
